Things to think about

Good Afternoon Teams,

I hope your team is recovering from the season, enjoying the off season and getting ready to rev up for next year.   Here are a few things to think about over the next few days.

The 2012 Post Season Survey and the Kit of Parts Survey close June 15th.  Make sure your team submits their input.  (Links are in the email blast sent to your team main and alternate contact on May 17th.)

A broadcast of the Michigan FIRST Robotics Competition State Championship will air Thursday night, May 31st at 8 PM Eastern Time on WTVS Detroit Public TV and be live streamed at the same time.

I was asked if teams should purchase pool noodles for their 2013 robot bumpers now while pool supplies are more readily available, but I honestly can’t answer that question.  The rules around robot bumpers will be released along with the Game Manual at Kickoff, so in the meantime, do what you think is best regarding stockpiling floatation devices for your robot.

FRC mentors are invited to participate in a study by a doctoral candidate at Capella University who is researching the value of robotics as an educational and professional skill building tool.

221 days until Kickoff

See you then!
