Building the technology leaders of tomorrow

If you are ready to take your students beyond the classroom and provide them with exciting, hands-on learning, then consider becoming an FTC Mentor.

FTC is endorsed by the National Association of Secondary School Principals and is a proven* way to teach Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Because FTC is an interdisciplinary activity that builds team work and communication skills, your students will learn about more than STEM.

MentorWhen you join FIRST, you join a global community, over 100,000 strong, that is excited about preparing the next generation of science and technology leaders. Students in FTC learn the FIRST ethos known as Gracious ProfessionalismTM, gain access to over $13.5 million in college scholarships and they have FUN!

Not a science or math type?  Not a problem. In FTC, students are encouraged to do all the work and Mentors are there to manage meetings and provide general guidance. As long as you are over 18 you can Coach or Mentor an FTC team. Plus, there is a community of thousands of veteran Coaches to help you along the way.

Want to get involved?  You can Start a Team or Volunteer at an Event.
